In Home Non Medical Care For Colorado Seniors
For many Colorado seniors, there are different levels of help needed in order to continue living in a home they’ve been comfortable in for years.
What is in-home care?
In home care is care that allows a person with special needs to remain in their home. It may be a person recovering from surgery, a mom-to-be needing full bed rest during a pregnancy, a person with a disability, a person with a chronic illness, or a senior with aging factors. In home care involves:
- Personal care, such as bathing, washing your hair, getting dressed, etc
- Home care, such as light housekeeping, appointment reminders, yard work, laundry, etc
- Meal care, such as meal preparation, shopping, cleanup, etc

All in home care is non-medical in nature, and helps a person with daily tasks that may be difficult for them to perform under normal circumstances. It can also provide family members with peace of mind to have their loved one under full supervision while they work and carry on with daily activities.
How is in-home care different from medical care?
In home care involves non-medical help within a home. While all in home care workers meet certain requirements before they are placed in a home, they are not medical personnel, and therefore, do not have the ability to perform medical tasks. Non-medical caregivers are there more as a support system for the day-to-day tasks that become increasingly difficult, yet are required to remain comfortable at home.
